Purposes of Use of Personal Information

Food Service Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, the “Company”) is committed to advancing its business activities to contribute to society based on its corporate missions.
The Company considers that personal information is its customers’ valued property that requires strict management and is also the Company’s important asset that drives the creation of new values.
The Company handles its customers’ personal information in accordance with the basic policy described below.

1. The Company complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and codes.
   The Company steadily complies with, maintains, and endeavors to continuously improve this “Privacy Policy.”
2. The Company establishes a management system for the protection of personal information, familiarizes its officers and employees with the Company regulations, and endeavors to ensure their compliance therewith.
3. The Company handles personal information within the scope of the purposes of use clearly indicated to its customers.
   The Company will not disclose or provide to a third party any personal information provided by a customer without the customer’s consent or any justifiable reason.
4. The Company keeps personal information held by it accurate and up to date and endeavors to prevent any unauthorized access to, or loss, destruction, alteration, leakage or other incident of personal information.
5. The Company will sincerely and promptly respond to any inquiry about or request for disclosure or other processing of personal information made by a customer.

Scope of Personal Information

The scope of personal information includes personally identifiable information collected in the course of the Company’s business activities or provision of services.
Specifically, information containing a name, address, phone number, email address, place of employment, date of birth, or other identifier or the equivalent which can be used to identify a specific individual (this includes any information that alone cannot be used to identify a specific individual but can be easily collated with other information and thereby used to identify that specific individual) collected in the course of the Company’s business activities or provision of services through a written document, electronic medium, website or other form is to be protected as personal information.

Acquisition of Personal Information

The Company acquires personal information by lawful and fair means.
When acquiring personal information through a written document directly from an identifiable person, the Company will indicate the purposes of use and other necessary matters to the identifiable person clearly and in writing and obtain the consent of the identifiable person.
When acquiring personal information by any other means, the Company will disclose the purposes of use and other necessary matters to the public on its website.

Purposes of Use of Personal Information

The Company will use personal information collected in the course of its business activities or provision of services solely for the following purposes:

1. To ship products, parts, catalogs or other materials;
2. To send information about products, services, campaigns, events, etc.;
3. To send information about surveys and monitoring;
4. To send proposals on product support and maintenance and other information;
5. To respond to inquiries and consultation requests; or
6. To provide maintenance services.

Third-party Provision of Personal Information

The Company will not disclose or provide to a third party any personal information of a customer except for:

1. Cases in which the consent of the identifiable person has been obtained;
2. Cases based on laws and regulations;
3. Cases in which there is a need to protect the life, well-being, or property of an individual, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the identifiable person;
4. Cases in which the Company entrusts a person with all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary for achieving the purposes of use; or
5. Cases in which there is a need to cooperate with a national government organ, local government, or person entrusted thereby with performing the functions prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the identifiable person is likely to interfere with the performance of those functions. The Company may use personal information jointly with its group companies to the extent necessary for achieving the purposes of use.

In this case, the Company will be responsible for the management of personal information.

Management of Personal Information

The Company endeavors to prevent and correct and takes reasonable safety measures against any unauthorized access to, or loss, destruction, alteration, leakage or other incident of collected personal information.
The Company complies with laws and other codes related to the protection of personal information and establishes, continuously reviews and endeavors to improve its regulations and system for the protection of personal information based on this Policy.

Correction, Deletion, Disclosure of and Inquiries about Personal Information

The Company will promptly address any request from an identifiable person for correction, deletion or disclosure of his/her personal information registered with the Company.
